Mangaluru, 15 March 2015: The Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers Association inaugurated “Kaju Summit” on the occasion of its Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations on Saturday 14th March 2015. The program was inaugurated by Health minister U.T. Khader and Mangaluru South MLA J.R. Lobo.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Diamond Jubilee Committee Chairman Walter D’Souza, Cashew Manufacturers Association President B. Rahul Kamath and Diamond Jubilee Committee Hon. Chairman B. Ramanath Kamath.
The summit focused on making India self sufficient in raw cashew nuts, Processing- facilitating new processing technology and expanding the processing capacity and Promotion- to educate consumers on the beneficial impact on health by cashew consumption.
The Mega Convention “Kaju Summit” is being organized on March 14th & 15th of 2015 at Dr. T. M. A Pai International Convention Centre, Mangalore. This also includes a machinery exhibition- “Kaju Tech”- showcasing the latest Machineries and processing technologies and a “Kaju Fest” – a Cashew Festival to educate public” AAM ADMI” on cashew industry and its products in festive and fun filled environment.
“Kaju Summit”- the two day convention will focus on the current issues and status of the industry, appraise you on the e-commerce scopes for marketing cashews, world renowned speakers on developing “family Business” and strategies for branding your products, review competition from Vietnam and Africa, debate issues in the domestic market and see how to strengthen it.
“Kaju Tech” is a machinery exhibition for all Machinery Manufactures catering to cashew industry and its value chain. More than 75 stalls showcased latest cashew processing machines in shelling, peeling, drying, grading and packing. Along with it machinery manufacturers displayed labeling printing, retail packing, Diesel generators and many other products and services.
